HistoryI wanted to make a poll to see peoples different veiws and why they think that. bit.ly/AbortionSurveyApollo feel free to take my survey I would love to see what you think. I made this survey ananoymous so people feel more confident in saying how they really feel instead of themthinking they will be judged.
I looked into many different sources that way I can have many different perspectives while I'm going into this project. I researched the Roe v Wade case from 1970-1973, I researched the seeperation of Church vs State, I researched the womens rights movements and I read a couple chapters out of the book, and I watched a John Oliver video about abortion laws.
Overall, I feel like I got a very good understanding about how people veiw Pro-life and Pro-choice. I found out more about church vs. state and more bout the Roe v Wade case. I didn't expect people to give me good feedback and they did. I didn't realize that women were going to cheap clinics to get abortions, and that they didn't want to get in trouble but they didn't want to get pregnant. I aslo didn't realize how many teenagers were getting pregnant from sexual assualts and they were denied to get an abortion. I think it is very harsh to tell a teenager that she can't get an abortion after she traveled miles and spent thousadns of dollars to get there. Then people talk about teenagers who get pregnant and how they are having children that they can't handle the children but then will deny them to have an abortion. Many of my voters decided that abortion shouldn't be apart of the upcoming election. I think it would be important because of how many children are coming into this world and if the United States is already overpopulated. Why force them to give birth if they were sexually assaulted. I learned that more people are open they are pro-life but if the mother's life is in danger or if she was sexually harassed then they are fine with the mother getting an abortion. I'm very happy with the results I got from the voters and from the research I have found. I feel like I have gained a lot of information and it will help me with determining my side.

ArtI wanted to make my art peice like a debate. I then changed it into looking like a big crowd and a figure from the shoulders up.
This was the orignal art sketch. I wanted to keep it simple but have a very powerful meaning behind it.
My next step was to figure out what I wanted my person to look like. I knew I didn't want you to be able to tell the gender and I originally wanted to be black but that was gonna clash with the crowde and the veiwer wouldn't of been able to tell what it was. So I then sketched it out how i wanted it to look and then I started to paint it.
I didn't like the way this looked because it had such a straight line don the middle and it didn't look natural so i then painted over it and added an ear and jaw line and a nose. after i painted it and everything i then cut it out. Before i glue it down to the painting i had to add the final backround. I put the supreme court behind my project becasue of the Roe v Wade case and I feel like the Supreme Court has a big part in the abortion cases.
I Made the Supreme Court into four different Pages. I printed out three sections of the supreme court and i glued it down so that it mathces eachother, that way it wont get pixelated from being blown up. I needed to add another section of blue sky in the right side because the supreme court didn't go the whole way across but I like the way it looks. Also I painted more people on top of the pictures to make it look more surreal instead of having a cut off when the paper hits the crowd. The next step was to add the head to the Painting.
I glued the shoulders up to the bottom of the neck onto the painting and then i put a thick paper and made a donut with it, and glued it together and then glued that to the painting that way the head is looking up and out on the painting and also you can see all around the person.

I made a double perspective sonnet poem. I used the Republican side (Red) and the Demographic side (Blue) for the poem.
After I had a meeting with Mr.Ward He told me to figure out whoi wanted to read this poem, and what was their story. I took that into consideration and I found that to help me with writing my lines. i wrote a lot of unique lines that i haven't seen anywhere else. I tried to use very strong words ot keep it interesting and also very much like an actual debate. I called this poem Truth Vs. Guilt because most people see only one side but this title can go both ways. Example; the truth in this poem is the Pro-life and the guilt is the women(Blue), or the truth is the women and the guilt is the men(Red).
This poem is called My Body, My Choice. I liked this title because I used a similar saying in the poem and if you know anything about abortions and the protests that happen then you would know Her body, Her Choice is a huge thing. A lot of people say that because they beleive that. This poem is about the womens side of abortion, it tells as if you're going through her mind and you know how she feels during the whole process. This poem would be representing the Demographic side of political parties.
This poem is called Fighting For a Life, I named it this because they are fighting for the "Fetus" the republicans don't want to kill the fetus and they don't want others to kill something that could have a beautiful life. This poem talks about negative things about abortion, it talks about Abortions kill a living breathing child. it also talks about how the mother isn't thinking the process through.
